Colney Heath Lakes

Welcome to Colney Heath Lakes. Situated behind Colney Heath Football Club and the local school these lakes are a hidden gem! The walk down to, and around the lakes are fantastic at all times of the year and the colours in the Autumn are well worth a visit.

There are no day permits available and you need to be a member of the de Havilland Angling Society to be able to fish here. Details can be found further down the page.

There are plenty of pitches to choose from and can be found at various points around the Colney Heath fishing lakes.

The fishermen are all extremly friendly so if it's your first time here and you're not sure where the best spots are, just ask one of the Anglers who'll be more than happy to help you.

If you're new to fishing and aren't sure on what bait or rig to use for the type of fish you want to catch, then just ask someone. They're always happy to help.

You can expect to catch Carp, Perch and Pike here and there is also a Tench pit giving plenty of variety to your days fishing.

The area is very quiet as it's set well back from any roads so if it's a bit of piece and quiet you're after, then this is the place to visit.

Once you're a member of the de Havilland Angling Society you will be able to take part in one of the many matches that are hosted here.

The local fishermen tell of big catches here so make sure you bring your landing net!
